How our work impacts students
Alongside the quantitative indicators above, the Foundation also considers qualitative indicators to assess progress towards achieving our charitable aims. Through our ongoing monitoring and evaluation process, we gather feedback, quotes and testimonials from students who have received funding or support through one of our grants. A sample of these can be seen below, and more detail can be found on the Student Stories pages.

Thank you so much for this support. The RFSA bursary gave me the confidence to reduce my working hours, making it possible for me to complete my degree this year. Taking Fridays off work has also allowed me to have weekly meetings with my mentor and personal needs tutor.
BA History of Art student, Birkbeck
The bursary has made me appreciate the course more, as I know that without it, I would not be able to do the course. It has made things easier for me, as I have finances for materials, which has helped me make the most out of the course. I am planning to go back into higher education in future. Even my future plans would not have been possible without the bursary. I feel supported, encouraged and also wanted. I have also seen how the bursary has benefited the other RFSA recipients on the course, so it makes a great impact on students. I am very thankful for bursary that RFSA provides.
Textile Foundation student, Morley College
Before receiving the bursary my financial support was very limited as I lived on £30 a week. Now I am able to focus entirely on my course and invest in appropriate materials that should help me reach my desired grade. I am extremely grateful for their donation which is currently both supporting and furthering my education.
